Doctor Answer: Fat grafting is an option for breast enhancement.* It is not commonly performed for breast augmentation but some surgeons are doing it. It is much more time consuming of a procedure but with micrografting techniques the results can be long lasting and the problems of lumpiness are a thing of the past. Breast augmentation with an implant is the most common cosmetic procedure performed. In the USA alone around 300,000 people have the procedure each year. It is a safe, straight forward procedure with one of the highest satisfaction rates. If you are wanting fat grafting, this is an acceptable alternative but you will need to accept the limitations of this procedure.
