Dr. Brundage joined the Centre for Plastic Surgery in 1987 as one of our founding partners with his dear friend and mentor, Dr. Telman. He brought an artist’s perspective to the practice of cosmetic surgery, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Indiana University. He later received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency training at Grand Rapids’ own Butterworth Hospital.
Combining his love of art and science, he then completed specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center (GRMERC). In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Brundage was a dedicated teacher. As Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, he was active in training plastic surgery residents and well loved by his students. He received numerous awards and accolades from his peers, students, and patients through out his distinguished years of practice.
During retirement, Dr. Brundage is enjoying time with his family, traveling, and a variety of outdoor activities including sailing, skiing, and fishing.
A pioneer of upscale patient care and privacy, Dr. Telman established the Centre for Plastic Surgery in 1983, and quickly became one of the first in Grand Rapids to provide an accredited in-office surgical facility to his patients.
